Glass walls-email tempered glass
Tempered glass is heat-treated glass which, after the heat treatment process, acquires a new internal stress distribution.
After heating to a temperature of around 620 °C and subsequent rapid cooling with an air shower, the inner part remains warm and the surface undergoes rapid cooling.
After this heat treatment of the glass, tensile stresses remain inside while compressive stresses develop on the surface.
The new stress distribution has the effect of substantially changing the properties of the glass; the glass gains impact resistance, strength and heat resistance.
After breakage, a large number of small unsharpened particles are formed, so that the risk of injury is reduced to a minimum.
Thermally toughened safety glass – is used wherever there are increased demands on safety.
It can be used in horizontal, vertical or sloping glazing.
Usage:
- kitchen screens,
- bathroom tiles,
- office cladding,
- cladding of commercial premises,
- glass worktops.
Comparison of tempered enamel and Lacobel glasses
Advantages of tempered enamel glasses.
- Can be used behind gas, but also electric kitchen stoves (higher resistance to heat).
- Higher resistance to breakage than LACOBEL.
- Thickness according to customer’s request (4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 19mm).
- In addition to being glued to the wall, they can also be inserted into aluminium frames.
