Float glass is produced with the most advanced technology.
During the production of float glass at a temperature of 1100 °C, molten glass continuously flows from the furnace into a large-sized container with tin.
The glass floats on the surface of the molten tin and forms a controlled flat surface.
In a controlled production process, the molten glass can become 300-360 cm wide, depending on the production thickness of the glass.
The thickness is determined by the speed at which the slowly hardening glass is drawn through the tin vessel.
Once the glass has travelled 120 metres on the cooling belt, it becomes a continuous solid strip of room temperature glass.
The product is completely flat and its surfaces are almost parallel.
Automatic cutting machines remove the ends and cut it crosswise into smaller pieces.
In this way, the glass is produced directly for export and further processing.
